The Pennsylvania Trolley Museum, located in Washington, Pennsylvania, has been preserving trolley history since 1954. The museum aims to educate the public about the importance of trolleys in transportation and their impact on the development of communities across Pennsylvania. Visitors can experience a ride on vintage trolleys and explore the museum's collection of over 50 trolleys and related artifacts, including photographs, tools, and uniforms. The Pennsylvania Trolley Museum also offers educational programs and special events throughout the year, such as Pumpkin Patch Trolley and Santa Trolley. We had a wonderful time during the Christmas Trolley Ride with Santa. The new museum is incredibly sleek and modern with amazing pieces of history inside. Staff is knowledgeable and happy to answer questions and share information. We can't wait to come back and explore more!
What a Great Place! Fantastic painstaking care in preservation of All things Trolley!
We even Took a ride in One! From 1917 I believe and the last one to run in Pittsburgh. Just delightful time of reliving a simpler era.
Such a interesting place to visit and great for all ages. So much to see and do! The Lego display and trolleys to see are incredible! We went on the Santa trolley and the people were wonderful and friendly!
This is a must see. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Can't beat the $5.00 for as many rides as you want.
Makes you feel like a little kid again. Thank you for the amazing experience.
A must visit if you love trains or trolleys. The guides here are wonderful and approachable. The trolley rides are worth the price of admission alone. So much to see, so much history to relive. Absolutely a must visit, and soon they will have a huge new museum. I can’t wait to return! Make sure you watch the trolley history video in the gift shop theater, it’s fantastic!
We went down for Santa Clause trolley time and they do a fantastic job with it. My 2.5 and 4.5 yr old boys loved the ride, Santa, the carols they sung, and exploring the Lego train world and historic trains and trolleys afterwards.
A living history museum. You get to explore the historic trolleys and rode two of them. Great for all ages. The staff are all knowledgeable and happy to explain everything.
This is our third year doing the Santa trolley. It was super cute in the past and we have always enjoyed it, but I am absolutely wowed by it this year with the new building! The whole operation is run smoothly and the staff/volunteers were all amazing. The kids love everything from the trolley ride to the craft/hot chocolate to the scavenger hunt. The new building is also gorgeous and has some great interactive displays for the kids. A great experience for the whole family—definitely recommend!
